The modern Brazilian quarter, MBQ plays an eclectic mix of songs ranging from traditional sambas and bossa novas made famous by such artists as Elis Regina, Stan Getz, and Antonio Carlos (Tom) Jobim. The band also performs modern Brazilian music by contemporary artists, including Maria Rita (daughter of Elis Regina), Maria Gadu, Djavan, and Rita Lee.
