Join Artist of the Corridor featured artist Durango Mendoza for an artist talk and closing reception with refreshments and a chance to mingle with the artist. Ways of Seeing is a collection of photography from Durango Mendoza, a photographer, assemblage artist, sculptor, and writer. He is a member of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation of Oklahoma.

Artist of the Corridor is a dual-site exhibition with artworks displayed at the City of Urbana and The Urbana Free Library. This program is cosponsored by the Urbana Public Arts Program.

This fun and fabulous all-ages event features local drag queens reading children's stories and doing crafts. Expect sparkles, glamorous dress-up, and a friendly atmosphere.

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH) was developed by Michelle Tea and RADAR Productions. Many libraries host DQSR events as a way of celebrating diversity, building empathy, and helping to curb bullying of LGBTQ kids. This event is co-sponsored by the UP Center of Champaign County.

The Library will be open until 8:00 p.m. for this special Imbibe Urbana event!

Welcome to 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten - a year-round reading program for children ages birth to five years. It's the fun, exciting, and free way to start children on the path to success.

One of the most reliable predictors of school success is being read to during early childhood. The Library would like to help support you as you prepare your child for kindergarten. Most importantly, sharing books with children promotes a lifelong love of books and reading.
