The Bali Lantari ensemble celebrates the beautiful cultural arts of Bali. Come experience traditional Balinese gamelan music and dance – colorful, expressive, and unforgettable. The ensemble is led by I Ketut Gede Asnawa, a full-time visiting faculty member of the School of Music and Robert E. Brown Center for World Music at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. For all ages.

Award-winning pianist Jim Pryor performs a vibrant mix of gospel and jazz music. He'll be joined by local favorites Crystal Rebone on bass and Mark McKnight on drums.

Jim Pryor is the recipient of a Jazz Fellowship Award given by the American Pianists Association and the first place winner of the Great American Jazz Piano Competition. He has performed with many outstanding musicians and has toured Europe, South America, North America, and Japan.

Welcome to 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten - a year-round reading program for children ages birth to five years. It's the fun, exciting, and free way to start children on the path to success.

One of the most reliable predictors of school success is being read to during early childhood. The Library would like to help support you as you prepare your child for kindergarten. Most importantly, sharing books with children promotes a lifelong love of books and reading.
